Some love stories begin with fireworks. Ours began with timing that only God could orchestrate. On July 17, 2023, a boy from Macon, Georgia, and a girl from Kingston, Jamaica, crossed paths at an Atlanta high school. Catherine was convinced Javarian was late, and with complete confidence, he replied, “Calm down. I’m here, and I’m on time.” Neither of us knew then that this brief encounter would quietly mark the beginning of a life-changing love story. Though we went our separate ways, something about that moment lingered long after it had passed. Then, on November 21, 2023, fate intervened once again when we matched on the Christian dating app Upward. What first appeared to be coincidence soon felt undeniable. Less than three days later, we sat across from each other on our first date, and from that moment on, our hearts moved in rhythm, as though they had always been finding their way back to one another.
